BUTTERSCOTCH CHEWS

Ingredients:

2 bars McIntosh Toffee

1 tbsp. Milk

1 tbsp. Butter

Melt toffee, milk and butter in top of double boiler until melted.

Remove from heat and add 2 cup corn flakes and ¾ cup shredded coconut.

Shape into balls or drop by tsp. Let set.

UNBAKED BROWNIES

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter

1 beaten egg

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup chopped nuts

2 tbsp. Cocoa

1/2 lb. Graham wafers(crushed fine or crumbs)

1 tsp vanilla

chopped walnuts

Melt butter in saucepan, add cocoa, sugar and the beaten egg.

Mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil and simmer one minute.

Add vanilla, nuts and crackers. Press mixture into a greased pan. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Cut into squares after chilling.

EASY FUDGE ICING

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbsps. milk

1 cup sifted icing sugar

Melt butter in small saucepan. Stir in brown sugar. Boil and stir over low heat for 2 minutes. Stir in milk and bring to boil stirring constantly. Cool to lukewarm then gradually stir in enough icing sugar to be of spreadable consistency. (Stir well after each addition of sugar)

CHOCOLATE CLUSTERS #2

Ingredients:

Melt 4 oz. Semi-sweet chocolate over hot water.

Add 1/4 tsp. Vanilla,

1/2 cup crisp cornflakes, and

1/2 cup raisins.

Drop by tsp. onto waxed paper.

Chill.

MARZIPAN FINGERS

(makes 30 balls)

1 cup soft dried apricots

1 cup unblanched almonds

2 cup coconut

1/2 cup cherries (maraschino)

1 egg, beaten

Put almonds and apricots through food chopper. Combine with remaining ingredients. Shape with fingers and roll in icing sugar.
